Much to the merriment of nearly everyone, Warner Brothers announced that the third and final installment of Christopher Nolan’s ineffable Batman series will be released in July 2012 — before the apocalypse.
What better way to celebrate the rapture than with The Dark Knight?
Nolan, whose soon-to-arrive Inception looks like a mind-bending stroll into cinematic salvation, told the New York Daily News that the film will essentially be the best thing you ever see in your entire life:
“Without getting into specifics,” he said, “the key thing that makes the third film a great possibility for us is that we want to finish our story, and [view] it as the finishing of a story rather than infinitely blowing up the balloon and expanding the story.”
